Today is the third day of my 30 days of Self-Affirmations!
Here's today's affirmation:

I always do the very best I can, on all that I attempt!

Another way of wording this: I'm a perfectionist!

Although this can definitely be a disadvantage, it's only a disadvantage to me, not those around me. I'll never be satisfied. (My head breaks into a song from Hamilton as I type this: Satisfied)

But today is about the positive part of my being the best I can be. People who know me, know they can count on me. They know I'm dependable and committed to any task. They know I won't give up until the task is completed well.

I learned to be this way from my dad. A nice reminder that modeling positive behaviors produces positive behaviors. (Learn more about my dad from these blog posts:
Speaking of Heroes  What Does a Non-Athletic Girl Learn From a Football Coach) I guess that's why I made sure my students saw me "working overtime" and not settling for mediocre.

About the picture: This picture was clearly taken on March 1, 1994. That's my daughter's first birthday! Being a mom has always been my greatest accomplishment, and you can bet I've given it everything I've got!
