I have a thirst for knowledge.

Yesterday, I mentioned my intelligence. I've always been hungry for information, but now, in the days of google and the internet, I've gone a little crazy with information! I must google 20 times a day! There's always something I want to know!

I am always reading about the best teaching techniques and how we can help children be successful. I actually have google email me articles on certain topics daily, such as brain based learning and brain research via "Google Alerts." My brain just inhales it all, I love learning!

I also read a lot about other interests: health, herbs, food, gardening, travel, and so on. Although I have some favorite topics of my own, I'm always looking for new interests, too.

I've discovered another source of information: if you're an Amazon Prime member, you can download books on "Kindle Unlimited!"  You can have up to 10 at a time for free! I'm reading and learning on my ipad almost every day!

About the picture:  Right after my divorce, I took my daughter to Disney World(She was 3 at the time.) I guess it was my way of proving to myself I could do this "single parenting" thing! Or maybe I wanted to live in Fantasyland for a while and forget the hurt.

I took her again when she was 5. Why? Everyone said that 5 was the best age to bring them to Disney!

When she was 7, her dance company danced in Disney World. The pattern was set. We continued to visit Disney World every other year until she was 17. (We would have continued, but we didn't have the same vacations once she was in college! We did go one more time when she was out of college and got to choose her own vacations. I'm sure we'll do it again, since we both love it!)

I can honestly tell you that EVERY age was wonderful, for a variety of reasons! When she was little, it was all about the characters. As she got older, it was more about the rides. By the time she was 17, it was about the whole tradition and experience!

The picture shows us when she was 17, and old enough to go on the "Backstage Tour," which was totally awesome!

Of course, our last trip, she was old enough to have a Margarita with me in Mexico. See? Every age is wonderful!

I'm hoping one of these days we'll be going to Disney with grandchildren, but we're not there yet!
