There was a Super Sale yesterday at Teachers Pay Teachers, and I must say, I bought some very cool stuff to share with my kiddos!
The Primary Techie has a bunch of these "Watch, Think, Color!" activities that I absolutely love! They are power points that give kids directions on which number on the Hundred chart to color. It's a fun way for kids to get to know their way around the Hundred grid and they're following directions and having fun. It's set up to change screens at intervals and there's a gentle sound to tell the kids to look up to see the new screen. This one is designed for expanded notation, (a second grade CC standard!) so the screen might say: Color it purple: 50 + 5 so the kids would color 55 purple.
An added bonus is that it's completely self-running, so if you need to "buy" about ten minutes, the kids are completely absorbed in numbers!
I bought 3 of them. I admit, I'm addicted! (Click the images to see the links at Teachers Pay Teachers... and you're in luck, they're still on sale!)
For Day 100
For Presidents Day, or any patriotic holiday.
These screens might look like this: Color it red: 16 + 10
For St. Patrick's Day
If you want to see more, check out The Primary Techie's store at Teachers Pay Teachers!
I can't wait to share Famous American Inventors with my students! We're working on Inventions right now, and I'll be sharing these 3 inventors with the kids as part of our Inventions study! This product is by Tara Ward, and I hear she's got another one with 3 more inventors!
Plus, I'm excited about some clipart I bought. I got a whole set of USA maps
Isn't this beautiful? I got this from AliMath - she has a whole bunch of mapping clipart at her store. (HERE) The North America set is the next one on my wishlist! She also has a bunch of other cool looking stuff as well!

Sweet! I love that clip art! I'm gonna go check it out!
