All We Need is Love

I'm linking up with Tessa from Tales from Outside the Classroom!  This one is all about love!

My daughter Corinne.
Well, let's start with WHO...

There's my beautiful daughter, Corinne.  She's without a doubt the best 19 year old ever!
My gentleman friend, Kevin.
Then there's my gentleman friend, Kevin.  I really lucked out with this guy!  He makes me laugh and he listens to me when the kids are driving me crazy and I have to let it out.

My fuzzy cat, Mia.
Speaking of the kids, I love them, too!  They make me smile all day long!  They work hard and they just keep getting smarter!  It might be me, but I think they keep getting cuter, too.

Oh yes, and there's one more WHO... my fuzzy cat, Mia.

Now moving onto WHAT...

I really love musical theatre!  I love singing! I love laughing! I love music!  I love learning about how the brain works!

I definitely DON'T love New England weather!  (It was 1 degree as I was driving to work today!)

I totally love the month of February, with all the goings on:  Groundhog Day, Super Bowl, Day 100, Valentine's Day, Presidents Day, and the Invention Convention!  Here are a few of my favorite books to read this time of year:

If you haven't read Somebody Loves You, Mr. Hatch or For the Love of Autumn yet, you're in for an amazing treat.  These are two of my favorite read alouds.  Somebody Loves You Mr. Hatch is the perfect Valentine's Day book about a man who comes alive when he realizes he is loved.  For the Love of Autumn is about an adorable kitten, and the teacher who loves her... and there's a tad of romance in that story, too!  Patricia Polacco clearly knows kittens, and knows how to touch the hearts of children.

You know what else I love?  Making stuff for my kids to enjoy learning!  Here are a few things I've made for the month of February:

I just love doing this sort of activity!  There are a whole lot of games in my classroom, since I believe in making learning fun.  Plus, the brain learns better that way!  And that's something else to love!
